My husband and I visited New Brunswick for the first time in September 2026 and our first stop was Moncton. Honestly, 5 stars is not enough for this tour. It was fantastic! I was a little hesitant at first given the cost, but I promise it was absolutely more than worth it. Mark was an exceptional tour guide. He's pleasant and down to earth and it felt like spending the afternoon with a friend and local expert. He set up unique places that we likely would not have seen. It was a very well-curated tour with just the right amount of walking and time between stops. It really did set the stage for the rest of our trip. We learned so much about New Brunswick history and Acadian culture that we didn't see in any museum or elsewhere. We also got some great tips from a local. My mother and I booked the food tour while visiting the area in Early September 2026. Mark was a most attentive host and his knowledge of the area is both impressive and interesting! Not only will you get food and drink, but also local lore and history! The food selections were amazing! The french pastries and coffee and the chocolate tasting were highlights !! Good foodie tour, plus some history.  Mark was a very nice guy and informative with his tour. The food stops were great. Only a couple of minor issues: we were never told about the change in start time through Tripadvisor, so ended up having a text from Mark asking if we were still going. We were staying very close to the meeting point, so only 10 min late; the pace of the tour seemed a wee bit slow-could have walked the route a bit faster; would be a good idea to ask re: alcoholic drinks for the last stop on the tour. Actual food at the stops was very good. We had booked quite a few months in advance, and paid quite a bit less than what is quoted now.  Value for what we paid was substantially better. We had an excellent tour with Mark. Being locals it was nice to visit a few hidden gems that we had never been to before. Mark was extremely knowledgeable in the history of Moncton and taught us many things we didn’t know. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone!

My husband and I had been in Moncton a couple of times before, but really only as a stopover enroute to other Maritime destinations. This time we were there for 4 nights, and wisely started our trip the first day with Unexpected Moncton's Food & Drink Tour. This was a fantastic tour, and Mark was a great guide. We made 6 stops and most of the places we wouldn't have discovered on our own -- and we returned to several of them afterwards. There was a good variety of food, both savory and sweet, and interesting drinks, both soft and alcoholic. The last stop was particularly amazing, both in atmosphere and the food and drink offering.
